This catalogue documents the “1. Liga!” exhibition that ran from October 1998 to May 1999 at the Pfalzgalerie in Kaiserslautern. Curator Leonhard Emmerling invited artists including Stefan Demary, Bernhard Härtter, Myriam Holme, Tony Hunt, Nikolaus Koliusis, Martin Liebscher, Peter Rösel and Rolf Schneider to explore the question of the legitimation and function of the museum as institution.
