Recent appraisals say that photography has changed. It is regarded these days as an »imagination machine,« functioning as conveyor of emotions, associations, sensations, fictions, memories and reflections. This publication, too, pays tribute to the way in which photography resonates today with these dimensions of human perception.
The catalog shows selected works by 13 young photographers who studied at the University of Applied Sciences in Bielefeld. Does the world go on without me is the question chosen as leitmotif – expressing the search for an answer to a media world in which not only the ones taking the pictures, but also the ones looking at them seem to get lost in the flood of information and the murmur of discourses…
