Vertrautes Terrain presents the sucessful exhibition of the same name at the ZKM | Museum of Contemporary Art Karlsruhe 2008/9. At the center is the search for a foreign and familiar picture of Germany and its relevance in art and peripheral areas. The aim is to confront stereotypes and to discover one’s own individual picture of Germany. The comprehensive catalog, shows a current snapshot with ca. 100 German and international artists and approximately 200 participants from various visual and cultural fields – beyond the fine arts also from literature, music, theater, dance, architecture, design, fashion and film.
