Works 1978 - 2012
Adrian Schiess (b. 1959) rose to fame with his »flat paintings,« panels painted with automotive paint that are presented lying on the floor. Their glossy horizontal surfaces serve as image carriers, mirroring their surroundings and sparkling with reflections.
Adrian Schiess | Annelies Štrba
With the title Summerending, the Swiss artists Adrian Schiess (*1959 in Zurich) and Annelies Štrba (*1947 in Zug) summon that time of year when summer crosses over into autumn: this is the atmospheric and sometimes melancholy season of transition the two internationally acclaimed artists capture in a new group of flower still lifes. Here, the tradition of the classic floral still life is taken up by way of a collaboration, with Annelies Štrba photographing the motif and Adrian Schiess then developing it further by means of painting.
Series, 2005 - 2012
The raw material of Angelika Sher’s photographic work is supplied by her family and immediate environment. Personal relations and domestic spaces are captured in moments full of longing, remoteness, and a beauty that can hurt. Series, 2005 – 2012 is a survey of Sher’s work over a seven year period, structured around four different series.

With their sparkling lights, fairy-tale scenery and perfectly maintained gardens, the parks derive their value from the universal and timeless human need to escape from daily reality in a com- munal constructed space, surrounded by a fence.
BEFORE AND AFTER NIGHT PORTER
"Before and After Night Porter" focuses on the work of British photographer Chris Shaw (b. 1967), and its compelling relationship to the Vivo and Provoke (Japanese photographic collectives of the 1960s) aesthetics, following the great interest in post-war Japanese photography in Europe and the United States in recent years.
