My Vision - Kehrerverlag Heidelberg

My Vision
Ideen für die Welt von Morgen

"my vision" shows current works of twenty international artists, using means such as video, photography and installation focusing on the subject of visions of the future. "my vision" presents personal visions, involving the artists perception of reality, on which they base their imagination of an expected future. The majority of the participating artists have created new works for this project, which circles around the different aspects of these visions. FLCO, for instance, reflects a world without oil, Melanie Manchot asks young musicians for a vision of their lives and their music, Eno Henze designs an almost unrealistic interior world and Warren Neidichs shining answer refers to the future and the past likewise. Paul M. Smith reflect the beautiful new world of celebrities, Ruth Hutter destroys the wonderful image of the TV world. Both the artists group OLGA and IngridMwangiRobertHutter are visionaries, the latter working in collaboration with Jimmy Ogonga on colonialism and cultural frontiers. Timothy Archibald conducts research into sex machine inventors, Kris Scholz meditates about the loss of the self-evident and Marc Räder puts us in front of insuperable frontiers.
The catalog is designed as an active, cognitive network, combining text, image, audio and video files in a very new way: it forms part of the exhibition and is as visionary as the participating works. A simpler version of the catalogue is available on the website: http://www.my-vision.eu.
