edgetensionplease is a declaration of love for the line. It is the extension of the line, the edge in perspectival space – a figurative, spatial exploration of the surface – a game with computer-generated figurative line objects and planar line structures – a discovering. The spectrum of line graphics ranges from technically constructive to biologically amorphous to materially flowing. Artists back in the 15th century already used the manifold creative options offered by the line in copperplate engravings and etchings in order to create reproducible templates for their works.
